Every jar of berbere has a person behind it. Every coffee ceremony has a hand that roasted, a grandmother who taught, a table that gathered. Moya Stories is where we tell those stories.

Moya means craft — a person's gift, the thing they were made to do. This series spotlights the cooks, makers, farmers, artists and community builders carrying Ethiopian food culture forward: the chef reinventing kitfo in Brooklyn, the potter shaping jebenas in the studio, the auntie whose shiro recipe never gets written down but never gets forgotten.
